What We Believe

We believe in a clean future. We believe in decoupling from fossil fuels and replacing them with renewable energy sources. And we believe that advanced energy storage is essential to get there.

The simple fact is that lithium ion battery (LIB) manufacturing doesn't come without a human and environmental toll. The materials essential to lithium-ion battery manufacture (lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese) will be exhausted by 2050 if we don't fundamentally change our consumption model. Recycling has the potential to make the greatest impact on supply, but we have taken it one step further. We save time, energy, and critical material by analyzing LIBs and reusing those with sufficient capacity than if all were sent through end-of-life processing.

That's why we believe in the circular economy. Why we repurpose good cells and recycle the remaining plastics, PC boards, and other materials. And why we 've developed a process to estimate state-of-health (SOH) for loose cells and battery assemblies that we manufacture.

Our shop is 100% solar-powered, using recovered solar panels and a battery bank built from reclaimed lithium ion batteries. Quite simply, we practice what we preach.
